Myrtle beach is a beautiful beach located in South Carolina, a lovely location for a summer vocation or even a winter escape. The long stretch of sand in Horry County is a popular place to relax, unwind and enjoy your vacation time. There are a number of wonderful things to do at Myrtle beach and once you’ve found yourself a lovely location for a summer vacation to stay in, you can begin to plan your holiday here. Here are some suggestions of the top five things to do in Myrtle beach:
1) The Myrtle beach SkyWheel: What’s better than a beautiful beach? How about seeing it from above. The Skywheel here is a lot of fun, gives an interesting perspective on this lovely coastal area and allows you to enjoy the city views too. Don’t worry, there’s aircon inside so you’ll be more than comfortable as you enjoy three loops.
2) Ripley’s Aquarium: Here you’ll find a lot of adventure. For both children and adults, there’s a large interactive aquarium area. You can even touch sharks and hard shell stingrays. There’s a playground for kids, a moving sidewalk as you go through the tanks and an exciting jellyfish exhibit. Perfect option if the weather isn’t quite perfect.
3) Myrtle Beach: You’ll find great weather here, almost all year round. The beach itself is lined with numerous restaurants, so you’ll never be bored of places to go to eat. The pale sand is stunning and there’s a relaxing ‘vibe’ here that makes it the perfect place for a vacation when you have been feeling stressed or run down.
4) Family Kingdom Amusement Park: This theme park is perhaps a little different to others you have visited, in the sense that you can enter the park without paying, and pay individually for rides or buy a wristband that allows you to access almost all rides for free. Go for the wristband, it’s simply better value. This is a fun little park that’s worth visiting for a few hours, especially with kids.
No matter why you come to Myrtle beach, you’ll find yourself leaving a little more relaxed and perhaps a little more tanned, too!
