Beaches are beautiful places in general, and it doesn’t really matter how poor one beach is compared to another, the fact that raw beauty is there in abundance makes up for any fault. The wildness of the sea, the beauty of the view, you name it, it’s there, and you can relax to your heart’s content.
Of course, some of the most beautiful beaches in the world tend to belong to places where prices are higher, and whilst that’s true, there are plenty of beaches on the planet which are stunning and cheap in price too.
If you’re busy looking for somewhere that suits your beach needs and your budget, here are five suggestions you might like to look into.
Ambergris Caye, Belize
Belize is a small Central American country which proves that size doesn’t matter, as it is packed full of beautiful beaches and scenery, as well as being home to the second largest coral reef in the world. Because of this fact, snorkelers and divers flock here, but this particular choice of beach is stunning, perfect for a day’s relaxation, without breaking the bank.
Dominican Republic
Suggesting a Caribbean island as an affordable beach destination doesn’t mean I’ve gone crazy, because the Dominican is one of the most affordable of all these glittering islands, with plenty of nature to explore. It goes without saying that Caribbean beaches are amazing, and Punta Cana is a popular choice of beach destination, with lower prices and plenty of facilities at hand.
Icmeler, Turkey
We all know that Turkey is a cheap holiday destination, and Icmeler often gets overlooked in favour of its larger neighbour, Marmaris. Having said that, the beach in Icmeler is infinitely better, with a long, wide stretch of stand to kick back and relax, and safe waters, perfect for a family break. There are also water-sports on offer, and plenty of bars and restaurants along the beach front.
Portugal
A summer or winter favourite, Portugal is an affordable choice for a beach break, with Albufeira and Lagos both very popular choices. You can easily head off to the city of Lisbon if you feel the need for a break from beach time, but the stretches of sand on offer are clean, wide, and offer all the facilities you need for a relaxing break.
Peru
Everyone thinks of the Inca Trail when they consider Peru, and whilst that is something that should certainly be explored, the beaches here are also up there with the best of what the country has to offer. The great news is that Peru’s beach destinations are cheap too, such as Punta Negra, for example. The location also means you’re getting beauty at its best.
